Bern quickly jumps back, spreads his wings and snarls loudly. After evading the attacks he slides over to the window. "Apparently I am not wanted here..... im not wanted any where!"
Dom, in the confusion backs up to not catch any of Nights attacks. he then stands near where Riki is. |

Night lands hard on her broken leg. She snarls in the pain it brings, but twists towards the window. "Dominic, don't let him get away! I'm sure he's the one who stole from your house!"
Riki, meanwhile, slides herself by Bern and gently pushes him away from the window. "C'mon, now, beastie, that stupid animal was just being a stupid animal. I for one am interested in ya and want you to stick around a little. Besides, you need medical treatment, and there are plently of first aid kits in the closet." |

Dom looks at Night and back at the winged beast. Not knowing what to do he goes over and says to Night..."You think this creature is the one who stole all our belongings, eh? But what would a creature like that be doing in a city, eh?" |

"Don't call me a demon. My name is Riki Uth Haun, and it's nice to meet such an oddity as yourself, Bernhard." Riki extends her hand for the gargoyle to shake. "We don't judge, here at Tri-Link's Cafe. Sure, some people hold grudges against certain races, but most accept anything that wanders into their mist."
Night growls in her throat. "Could be any reason. A city is a good place to make a living. I'm sure. I saw a shadow pass over us as we were leaving the city. It couldn't be anything else. It was big, had wings, and a tail. Do you know of anything else like that living in the city?" |

Night appears to contemplate this, before nodding and agreeing quitely. "I jumped to conclusions." To Bern, she says "I am sorry I attacked you. I hope you suffered no hurt?"
Riki winces slightly in the gargoyle's strong handshake, but smiles. "Now, about those first aid kits..." A couple seconds later, she returns with a few boxes of medical supplies. "Come here, cat-thing and human companion. You guys need fixing up, too." |

"You are most generous in your help Riki."He bows and turns to the experiment and says..."Thank you for the apology and i did not suffer any damage. Human are you just gonna stand there or are you gonna talk?"
"Huh? oh! Yes, so your name is Bern eh? Im Dominic Vallenlock, you can call me Dom for short and this is my loyal friend Nightbringer."Dom bows to them both and begins to stare at Bern once more. |

Riki fusses over them, which is odd for her. Night nudges Dom to let him know he's staring. When everybody is suitably bandaged up, Riki goes over to the couch and collaspes on it, falling asleep. Night flicks her tail from side to side and watches Dominic and Bern closely.

"Perhaps you lot can help me," A voice chimes to no patron in particular as a figured wrapped in rags and bandages rises through the floor and fades into existances. "I'm looking for one refered to as 'Nyx'."

From her table, Serafine looks up from her mug of tea to watch the new arrival's appearance. After noting that down in the notebook, along with pretty much everything else that's happened, she finally gets around to answering the question
The only 'Nyx' that I am aware of is the Greek godess of the night. In that case, I would advise checking Mount Olympus. If it is someone else, then I apologise for being unable to help. |

Riki glares at him, then turns away. She knows she should investigate further, since any man looking for Nyx couldn't be good, but she didn't really care. "Aw, **** it..."
Drawing Vengeance, she slides up next to him and points the sword at him. When he looks up, he'll be staring up at 20 inches of polished steel. "I said, who are you? And why are you so desperate to reach Nyx?" |

The man seems more amused than alarmed by Riki. "I could only expect so much from a Demon of your rank. If you insist on pestering me, you can be a test subject for a little experiment."

The man phases out of existance and sidesteps, becoming 'solid' once more. He then reaches into his cloak and brandishes a completely red weapon. "How foolish."

"Highly underestimated." The figure chuckles as he phases to dodge and knicks Riki in the shoulder, instantly draining some of her power. "Hm..not as potent as I hoped, but do-able."

Walks in, hoping to avoid anyone noticing what day it was yesterday. Sitting in a chair, she grabs herself a wine cooler and begines to read a book.

Riki grabs her shoulder with her free hand and glares at the 'man.' "The hell...? Did that thing just drain some of my power?" She doesn't rush in this time, just watches the man warily.

"You see, while a regular sword takes one's blood, this sword will take one strength. Maybe even their soul. You have served your purpose, so I shall spare you for now. Though I can show you the true strength of this weapon, if that is what you wish."

"**** you and your damn weapon." Riki sheathes Vengeance. She stares at the man for a moment, then, from a place on her back, she unhooks her newest weapon. Still carrying a blueish tinge from the blacksmiths, a massive double headed battle axe swings at the stranger.

The man doesn't even try to dodge the attack. It creates a large cash in his chest. However, the wound does not spray blood but instead fire which is dangerously close to Riki.

"****!" Riki tries to pull back, but is carried forward by her momtenum and screams when her right hand is badly burned. She pulls the battle axe back and stares. "What...what are you?"

The man dashes forward and delivers and upercut before turning around. "I am called, Zebebuleb. I shall continue my search for Nyx elsewhere." With a chuckle the man fades away.

Almost silently a young woman enters the cafe, a small bag draped over her shoulder. She glances around curiously at the inhabitants, as if she were looking for someone. A melancholy expression fills her face as she sits down at the bar to rest.

When the man leaves, Riki screams out a long list of curses, staring at her burnt hand, eyes watering. In all of her battles, this had been one of the most painful injuries. "****ing hurts. Need medical treatment. Why is there no damned hospital in this entire continent?"

A short man creeps up behind the newcomer. "Why hello there, Loren. Haven't seen you in a while. May I buy you a drink?" He sits down next to her, a smile painted across his face.

Riki's tear-streaked face looks up to regard the newcomers. She shakes her head and goes back to the first aid kit, rummaging through in hopes of finding something for burns. She smiles slightly when she finds some sort of cream and clumisly applies it. As she is doing this, she keeps an ear on the newcomers.

This woman called Loren merely nods at the man, but her gaze is instead fixed on Riki. She stands and walks over to her, looking down on her burned hand. Burns.. Hm, what an interesting, yet lonely memory that brings up. "Would you like some help with that?"

On this saturatingly warm evening, Pax decides to show his face in the Cafe after a long leave of absense. A humble smile twists across his lips; and, with the swishing of cream-colored robes trailing behind him, the young man slips into a seat close enough to eavesdrop on any conversations...

"Aww, Loren. I haven't seen you for years and you decide to ignore me?" He lets out a loud, hearty laugh. "Don't worry, I understand." The man pours a drink and hands it to Loren. He then pours himself a glass. "Here you go, Loren. A toast...to old times."

Riki looks up at the girl and smiles tightly. "Yeah, thanks. Hurts a lot...What's your name?"
Nightbringer, having just waken from a nap, stretches and looks at Pax. Deciding to be friendly, she approaches him. |

Pax's subdued smile brightens a bit with attention, and he nods in the direction of Nightbringer ((of who I don't have the foggiest notion as to what her identity is. Or even her species. x__x')).

Loren quickly takes a sip, acknowledging the toast then sets the glass aside, her back turned to the man. "I am known as Loren." She wraps Riki's hand in a bandage while speaking. "I hope you don't mind me asking questions, but I am curious as to the turmoil this land has faced recently." She smiles somewhat at Riki, her eyes a brilliant ocean blue.

The man's smile flickers as he continues to get ignored. He leans in on her and whispers. "I don't think you should be ignoring me. Not unless..." His voice goes back to normal. "Let me take a good look at you, you're more beautiful than ever Loren."

Loren finally turns and looks at the man. "Very well, Dismas. Consider yourself acknowledged." She turns away again. "You will not look at me in this fashion, because I am already taken."
